Conformable abrasive safety tape is an ingenious non slip surface ideal for use on irregular surfaces – on chequer or durbar plate – it comes in three industry specified colours: black, yellow or black/yellow hazard. The conformable material for this abrasive safety tape is constructed from a soft aluminium foil base and then top coated with a thick spread of aluminium oxide grit. Once the abrasive safety tape has been applied the conformable safety-grip adopts the texture of the durbar or chequer plate, as it is foil based it has no inherent memory so will not lift or rise off. As the conformable safety-grip material is non-plastic based it has a secondary use of being flame retardant, this product has been tested to certain Civil Aviation Authority (United Kingdom) specifications for burn testing.

The tapes are easy to apply, adhering permanently and extremely durable. They works around oil, grease and water; can be used to create anti slip flooring both indoors and outdoors.

Application: on the chequer or durbar plates and stairs.

Recommendations. This tape can be applied onto surface that is clean, dry and free from any grease. The porous surfaces should be sealed with the primer prior to application, the other surfaces can be cleaned with IPA cleaner. For high traffic application, places where there is a high risk of edge scuffing (e.g. stair nosings),  in a wet and marine environment we recommend the edge  sealer.  These products ensures that tape edges are securely fixed in even the most difficult conditions.
